Spokesperson for the Commander in Chief: We still need an international coalition
Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Brigadier Yahya Rasoul, confirmed that Iraq still needs the support of the international coalition to fight the remnants of the ISIS terrorist group.
“We still need technology, the air force, and cooperation in the field of training and military advice, and we do not need ground forces on the ground,” Rasoul said in a press statement.
He added, “We need to continue concluding agreements in training and armament,” stressing “the importance of balancing relations with countries and respecting the sovereignty of Iraq.”
Rasoul pointed out that “the withdrawal or stay of foreign forces in the country is left to the discretion of the Iraqi government.” Source
