The governor of the Central Bank of Iraq discusses with his Jordanian counterpart the implications of the Corona crisis
Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Mustafa Ghaleb Makhaif, discussed, on Sunday, with his counterpart, the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, Ziad Fariz, the economic and financial implications of the Corona crisis and activating joint cooperation.
A central bank statement said, “Scheif received a phone call from Fariz’s counterpart to congratulate him on his assumption of his duties, expressing his wishes for the success of his administration in facing economic challenges.”
He added, “During the call, they discussed the economic and financial implications of the Corona crisis that is sweeping the entire world, in addition to discussing ways to increase the prospects for joint cooperation.”
The statement continued, “Frightening confirmed that Iraq and sisterly Jordan have common bonds of cooperation and we look forward to activating them during the next stage.” Source
