Iraq and Iran discuss the progress of bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them
Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad, Erg Masjidi, discussed on Thursday the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington and ways of strengthening them.
The media office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs stated, in a statement received by (Iraqi Media News Agency / INA) that, “Hussein, met the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, Erg Masjidy, and the ambassador offered his congratulations to form the new government.
The statement added, “The meeting reviewed the progress of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Tehran, and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.”
The two sides stressed the “depth of Iraqi-Iranian relations, and the necessity of strengthening them; Service to the two neighboring peoples.” Source
