Iraq .. Abadi coalition wins 60 parliamentary seats .. And 51 ‘to the chest’
Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi’s coalition has won 60 seats and the coalition of the ‘Saroon’ coalition, backed by Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, has won 51 seats in preliminary results.
The Fath Alliance of Popular Populist Militia has taken 34 to 39 seats in the current parliament.
A source from the UNHCR has announced to local media that the results to be announced in the coming hours represent 60% of the total number of views, and that next Tuesday will announce the final results.
So far, the Electoral Commission has not made any official statement about the election results except for the participation rate, which represented 44% of the total number of voters.
Voters and candidates await the official results of the Commission, to move the blocks towards its partners in order to form the next government.
The alliance, ‘Saroon’ earlier, the preliminary results of the counting of votes in the Iraqi elections indicate progress on the alliance victory, led by Haider Abadi.
