Report: America First, Russia Second, Iraq ranked 19 among the strongest countries in the world
The US News World Report published a list of the world’s most influential countries in 2019, ranking first with Russia, while Iraq ranked 19th among the world’s most powerful countries.
The report was based on an assessment of the strength of countries on the size of their economies, their political impact on a global level, and their military capacity, which depends on the size of the defense budget in each country.
The report surveyed more than 20,000 people from 80 countries around the world and was prepared in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania.
The rankings also include the level of world confidence in each country and its credibility in meeting its international obligations, the magazine says.
The United States topped the list followed by Russia, China, Germany, Britain, France, Japan, Israel, Saudi Arabia and South Korea.
The UAE ranked 11th, Iran 13, Turkey 16, Iraq 19 and Qatar 24. Source
