Political analysts: Washington is preparing for a strategic dialogue with Baghdad after weakening Iran’s role in Iraq
Political analyst Abdul-Amir Hungary, Sunday, May 17, 2020, saw that there is Iraqi dissatisfaction with regional interference in internal affairs, and that the US strategy came based on understandings with Russia and the major countries.
Hungary said that this strategy is based on making Iraq remain a united country, just as Syria remains a united country with Russia.
Hungary added in a statement to Al-Masala, that the unified Iraqi state that the United States wants should revolve in the American orbit and be far from the Iranian axis, so the United States worked to end Iran’s influence, as a prelude to building a new relationship, in which the Iraqi-American relations will be built. On strategic, not transitory grounds.
Hungary continued, that the United States paved the way for this strategic dialogue through this government, preceded by pruning the nails of Iran, as well as the popular revolution that destabilized political forces, indicating that these forces are weak today, so the road has become clear to a strategic dialogue between Washington and Baghdad.
On Saturday, 2020, Speaker of Parliament Muhammad Al-Halbousi discussed with the American Ambassador to Baghdad Matthew Toller the bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to support the new Iraqi government in the field of economy, budget and security stability, as well as the efforts of political forces to complete the cabinet.
