Parliamentary Finance talks about a comprehensive reform paper on the country’s financial crisis
The decision of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Ahmed Al-Saffar, on Sunday, June 21, 2020, revealed a comprehensive reform paper that will be adopted soon on the financial crisis in the country.
Al-Saffar said in an interview with media outlets followed by the “obelisk” that the government prepared a very important reform paper, which is matched by another paper prepared by the Finance Committee, which included the opinions and proposals of all members of the committee that will be unified in one unified paper and presented to Parliament soon in order to adopt it to take its path in the actual implementation.
He added that the comprehensive reform paper represents solutions to three important files in Iraq, which are maximizing financial resources, rationalizing consumption and controlling the current financial crisis.
On Saturday, 20 June 2020, the Parliamentary Finance Committee considered that the government has many solutions to increase the state’s resources.
Parliamentary Finance said that the government has a lot of solutions and steps that contribute to increasing the state’s resources, noting that the borrowing law will be a temporary solution to cover the budget deficit provided that the government is committed to sending the economic and financial reform law to the parliament in a period not to exceed 60 per day.
And the Finance Minister Ali Abdul Amir Allawi, during his hosting in the Parliamentary Finance Committee, explained in detail about the financial and economic reality that Iraq is going through and the size of the budget deficit and the amount required within the borrowing law.
Allawi stressed that the paragraph added by the Finance Committee in the borrowing law regarding the government’s presentation of the economic and financial reform paper is very important and will work on it as quickly as possible. Source
