Parliament votes to make 12-25 an official holiday to mark the birth of Christ
Wednesday, the Iraqi parliament voted to consider the birth of Christ every year as an official holiday.
The Information Department of the Iraqi Council of Representatives said, in a brief statement, that the Council voted to consider December 25 of every year an official holiday for all Iraqis on the occasion of the birth of the Lord Jesus (peace be upon him).
The Iraqi Council of Representatives held its 29th session earlier on Wednesday evening, headed by Hassan Al Kaabi, Vice President of the Council. Source
