Kurdistan: No Coronavirus Infections in Past 24 Hours
The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) said on Saturday that no cases of coronavirus have been recorded across the region in the past 24 hours.
A statement by the ministry of health explained that at least 227 people went through medical checks and all of them tested negative for COVID-19 on Saturday.
It further noted that 204 people were tested in capital Erbil, 14 in Sulaimaniya and nine in Duhok provinces.
The total number of cases of the coronavirus so far is 28, the press release said, adding that one patient died and another has “fully recovered” from the novel virus.
The KRG has taken tightened protective measures against the coronavirus, the latest of which was to ban all traffic across the region for 48 hours. Source
