Iran: Nearly 100 People Die of Coronavirus in 24 Hours

Iranian authorities confirmed the death of 97 people from coronavirus within the past 24 hours.

According to Iran’s health ministry, the total coronavirus death toll in the country has now reached 611.

Kianoosh Jahangiri, a spokesperson for the ministry, told reporters that 1,365 people had tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total infections number up to 12,729.

Tehran, Qom, Gilan, Esfahan, Alborz, Mazandaran are the six worst-affected provinces with highest number of infections.

Jahangiri also stated that 4,339 people have so far recovered from the novel virus. Source
