Nearly 130 Other Patients Die from COVID-19 in Iran
Nearly 130 other patients in Iran have lost their lives from the new coronavirus in the past 24 hours, while over 1,000 new cases were confirmed during the same period of time.
According to a statement by Kianoush Janahpour, a spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Health, at least 129 people have died since Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 1,685 since the outbreak of the virus in the country.
In the meantime, he added that 1,028 other people tested positive for COVID-19, noting that the total number of infections reached 21,638.
As for the Kurdish provinces, Janahpour noted that 1,460 individuals have so far been infected with the novel virus, with Lorestan being the worst affected city. Source
