Iraq: Flight Suspension Extended until May 22
As part of the protective measures to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country, Iraq on Thursday announced the suspension of flights until May 22, a statement said.
According to a statement sent from Iraq’s Civil Aviation Authority to the airports in the country, including those in the Kurdistan Region, the suspension would continue until May 22.
Iraq began to ban commercial passenger flights in mid-March after several cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in the country.
According to the latest updates by the health ministry, a total of 1,678 infections have so far been registered in the country while 83 patients died from the virus. Source
