Israel Hits Iran, Hezbollah Targets near Damascus
Israeli jets on Monday carried out airstrikes to hit targets belonging to Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah outside the Syrian capital, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
The London-based monitoring group said four fighters were killed in the airstrike which war reportedly carried out from the Lebanese airspace.
There were also three civilians killed and four others wounded, for which the Israeli media blames the Syrian air defense system.
However, Syrian state-run news agency, SANA, said the civilian casualties were caused after shrapnel from Israeli missiles hit homes in the towns of Al-Hujaira and Al-Adliya in the Damascus area.
This was the second strike by Israel in Syria in the past seven days. Source
