Turkish Jets Hit Kurdistan Mountains Again

Turkish warplanes once again shelled the mountainous areas of Duhok province, Kurdistan Region.

A local official confirmed to BasNews that the Turkish fighter jets returned to Darkar area near Zakho at approximately 23:30 local time on Saturday and bombarded multiple positions.

Yousif Agha village was the focus of the airstrike, the official added, saying no casualties were reported but material damages were possible.

Turkey recently launched a large-scale operation dubbed “Claw-Eagle” against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Kurdistan Region.

However, the aerial and ground offensives have so far left at least five civilians killed and a massive agricultural land burned. Source
