Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Iran Near 300,000: Health Ministry
The number of people infected with the new coronavirus is fast approaching 300,000, according to Iran’s health ministry.
Within the past 24 hours, 2,434 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 across Iran, bringing the total number of confirmed cases up to 293,606, Sara Lari, a spokesperson for the country’s health ministry said.
She also confirmed 212 deaths due to the novel virus since Sunday.
The pandemic has so far claimed 15,912 lives in Iran, Lari added, noting that 255,144 people have also recovered since the beginning of the outbreak. Source
