Former Iraqi Electricity Minister Banned from Travelling Abroad

A court in Baghdad has placed a travel ban on the former Iraqi minister of electricity, reports said on Wednesday. The order was issued by Karkh Court in the capital Baghdad, based on which Lu’ay Khatib is not allowed to travel abroad, according to reports. Meanwhile, Falah Dilemi, a general manager at the ministry of electricity, is also banned from traveling to any foreign countries. This comes as people in Iraq still suffere from huge shortages of power supply despite the fact that special budgets have been allocated for the sector previously. Source
