Kurdistan PM, Iraqi National Security Advisor Discuss Closer Coordination
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received on Sunday a delegation led by Iraqi National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji in Erbil.
PM Barzani and the Iraqi security officials discussed the latest developments in the region, especially focusing on security challenges, according to a press release.
The emphasized on the importance of closer coordinations between the Iraqi Army and Peshmerga forces, particularly in the disputed Kurdish territories to ward off the threat of terrorism.
Erbil and Baghdad continue negotiations on oil, budgetary, and territorial disputes. PM Barzani wrote on Twitter earlier this week that he was optimistic about an agreement with the federal government that could serve the interest of both the sides based on the Constitution. Source
