Bomb Blast Targets US-led Coalition Convoy in South of Iraq
A convoy of the US-led Coalition forces on Monday came under a bomb attack in southern Iraq, a source was quoted as saying.
Speaking to Shafaq News, a security source pointed out that the Coalition convoy, carrying logistic supplies, was hit by an explosive device in Iraq’s al-Diwaniyah province.
The bomb blast did not leave any casualties, injuries, or even material damages, the source explained, noting that it was not clear who had planted it.
The Global Coalition has been suffering from regular bomb attacks in different areas of Iraq, for which Washington has accused the pro-Iran militia groups in the country.
Some of the militias had previously threatened to hit the US interests in Iraq, as they have been demanding the withdrawal of the foreign country’s troops in Iraq. Source
