Iraq’s Interior Minister Arrives in Riyadh
Iraqi Interior Minister Othman Al-Ghanmi arrived in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh on an official visit to the country on Sunday.
Ghanimi’s office confirmed the report in a statement and pointed out that the Iraqi minister had been accompanied by a high-level delegation, without giving further details on the agenda of the visit.
Earlier in December, a Saudi ministerial delegation visited Baghdad to sign a set of MoUs and several agreements with the Iraqi counterparts.
On December 8, 2020, Baghdad and Riyadh signed two agreements to set up a metal grain silo and to build a hospital in Iraq. The grain silo was said to be set up in the Iraqi province of al-Diwania while the hospital would be established in Anbar province, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
