Iraqi Army Finds Missile Launchers Used to Attack Peshmerga Positions near Prde
Iraq’s Security Media Cell has discovered six missile launchers which were used to attack the Peshmerga positions on Monday night near Prde, south of Erbil province.
The Security Media Cell said in statement that the equipment was found near Mount Akasha, in north of Kirkuk.
The statement said the attack was carried out by an outlawed group, but did not specifically mention those responsible as investigations are still underway.
BasNews previously reported that the Kurdish Peshmerga forces had collected the remnants of ten missiles hours after the attack, and that the Peshmerga Ministry was working with the Coalition forces to investigate the incident.
The attack reportedly left no casualties and no damages to the military equipment and positions of the Kurdish forces.
