Baghdad to Open Airports In Kurdistan This Week: Report

The Federal Government officially announced that the international flight ban on the airports in Kurdistan Region will be lifted in this week, said a Iraqi source.

According to Iraqi media outlets, the Iraqi PM has met with high Kurdish officials to discuss the matter of the international ban on the airports in Kurdistan Region on Tuesday.

“After the meeting, the Iraqi premier issued to lift the ban on the airports in Erbil and Sulaymaniya on this Thursday,” a source told Kurdistan 24.

The Kurdistan Region held a referendum to vote for Independence in last September, the Iraqi government imposed many embargoes on the region, including the international flights.
