Saddam Hussein’s Memorial Plaque Removed from London Bench
A memorial plaque praising Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein has been removed from a bench in central London.
Wanstead resident Victoria Richards took a picture of the plaque earlier this week and posted it on social media. People objected to the installation of the plaque and demanded its immediate removal.
However, as BBC reported, it was not clear who had installed it and what was the intention.
It read: “In Loving Memory of Saddam Hussein”.
People have been very angry and upset, especially the Iraqi community, and considered to have been a sick joke. Source
