Iraqi PM to Visit Russia Soon

Iraqi PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi has been invited by Russia to visit Moscow in the near future to further strengthen the relations between the sides.

Abdul-Mahdi received on Tuesday the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov in Baghdad, Iraqi News said.

However, the exact time of the visit has not been mentioned in the report.

The pair had talks on boosting their ties in the fields of economy, security, trade, and electricity, according to the report, adding that the Iraqi leader, in the meantime, reaffirmed his country’s willingness to promote the relations between Baghdad and Moscow.
