Over 35,000 People So Far Applied for Future Iraqi Ministerial Posts
After Iraq’s incoming Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi offered the online application for ministerial posts in the country’s future government, over 36,000 applied for the positions.
According to a statement by Abdul-Mahdi’s office, 36,006 people have so far sent their resumes to the website the Iraqi official has set up, explaining that 15% of the applicants are women.
The statement said that hundreds of people from the Kurdistan Region are among the individuals interested in the ministerial positions.
Abdul-Mahdi is reportedly trying to form a new cabinet in Baghdad from ordinary people with no affiliation with any political parties.
Applications were opened on Tuesday 08:00 am (Baghdad time) and it will continue until 16:00 on Thursday, 11 October. Source
