Iraqi Commander with Ties to Sadr Killed in Baghdad
A group of unknown armed men on Thursday attacked an Iraqi commander of Saraya Salam (Peace Brigade) militia group in Baghdad and killed him instantly.
Hussein Hijami was known for his close ties to Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of Sairoon Bloc at the country’s parliament.
He was gunned down in al’Shuala neighborhood of northern Baghdad, media reports said.
A source told Baghdad Post that Hijami had also worked with the Ministry of Health. Source
