Iraqi PM Unveils Government’s Program for Next Four Years
Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi unveiled on Thursday his government’s program for the next four years, stressing his cabinet’s commitment to implement this agenda.
According to a statement by Abdul-Mahdi’s office, the federal government program for the years 2019 to 2022 is like a road map for the work of the cabinet and a document the government and its members are committed to implement.
The Iraqi premier pointed out that the program calls for cooperation between the three presidencies to implement it, adding that the government had promised to complete it within 100 days from the beginning of the government’s term.
Iraq held the parliamentary elections in May last year. However, the formation of the new government is yet to be concluded as the political parties are in disputes over certain ministerial candidates. Source
