Turkish Jets Bomb Kurdistan Border Village

Turkish warplanes once again bombarded a Kurdish village on the border between Kurdistan Region and Turkey.

The bombardment occurred around 05:00 (local time) on Saturday in Sharansha village, near Zakho district of Duhok province, according to Kurdistan 24.

No casualties were reported, but damages were brought to civilian properties.

Turkey often strikes Kurdistan Region’s border areas to allegedly target the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). However, it has several times targeted civilians in the region with multiple casualties over the past few years.

A resident of the village said that no PKK positions are inside the village, and that massive damages were caused to civilian houses and vehicles. Source
