US Envoy for Iran Heads to the Middle East

US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook has been scheduled to travel to the Middle East on Wednesday to discuss “Iran’s regional aggression,” with officials in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

The State Department said in a statement that “he will also share additional U.S. intelligence on the range of active threats Iran currently poses to the region,” as cited by Reuters.

He will also pay a visit to Europe for talks on a variety of issues of the Iranian government with officials from France, Germany, and Great Britain, the report added.

The US has accused Iran of carrying out attacks on oil tankers in the Gulf and is attempting hard to obtain evidence in this regard. Source
