Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi Receives A Phone Call From US President Joseph Biden

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi received a phone call from the President of the United States of America, Mr. Joseph Biden, on Tuesday evening.

During the call, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the situation in Iraq and the region, as well as a number of regional and international issues of common interest.

The two sides also discussed strengthening joint cooperation between Baghdad and Washington and ways to develop it in various fields, foremost among which is economic and security cooperation and in the field of combating terrorism.

During the call, the Prime Minister and the US President discussed the resumption of the strategic dialogue between the two countries, in a manner that would advance the relationship, on the basis of common interests and the strengthening of Iraqi national sovereignty.

The importance of protecting diplomatic missions in Iraq was emphasized, and attempts to undermine security and stability in Iraq and the region were rejected.

Iraq And Jordan Sign An Agreement To Establish The Joint Industrial Chamber

The Minister of Industry and Minerals, Manhal Aziz Al-Khabaz, continued his talks with the Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Maha Ali, during an expanded meeting held by the two sides at the Cabinet’s Guest House, in the presence of advisors and a number of general managers in the ministry’s departments and formations, members of the Jordanian delegation from the private sector and their counterparts from the Iraqi side.

A document issued by the office of Representative Jamal Al-Muhammadawi revealed that “the board of directors of the Central Bank decided, according to two circulars dated (11/18/2018) and (1/16/2020), to stop promoting the granting of licenses to electronic payment service providers.”

According to the document, “it was decided to extend the suspension by virtue of the bank’s management decision No. (33) for the year (2021), as per circular number (9/5/53) on (2/11/2021).”

The Council Of Ministers Holds A Regular Session Headed By The Prime Minister, Mr. Mustafa Al-Kazemi

Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers held a regular session chaired by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, during which the latest developments in the country were discussed, as well as the topics included in its agenda.

At the beginning of the session, the Prime Minister praised the efforts of the state institutions and agencies that contributed to the application of the curfew, and thanked all citizens who adhered to the measures of the health ban, and his Excellency confirmed that the escalation of commitment to preventive measures will enable us to reduce the effects of the new and more dangerous strain of the epidemic.

Regarding the security situation in the country, Mr. Al-Kazemi stressed the continuation of pre-emptive operations against terrorism, to eliminate what remains of its remnants and dry up its sources, praising the efforts of the heroic security forces of all kinds, which are linked day and night in pursuing terrorist cells.

His Excellency stressed that Iraq will not be an arena for settling scores, and that the absurd missiles are an attempt to embarrass the government and impede its progress, stressing that the security services will be able to reach the perpetrators and they will be brought before public opinion.

Second / Approval of the Ministry of Health providing the vaccine from the Chinese company Sinopharm.

Third / Approval of increasing the capital of the General Company for North Electricity Distribution, one of the formations of the Ministry of Electricity, by an amount of (974109524557) dinars, only nine hundred and seventy-four billion one hundred and nine million five hundred and twenty four thousand five hundred and fifty-seven dinars, which represents the amount of the company’s capital increase approved by the Supervision Bureau Federal Finance, based on Article (10 / First / 1) of the Public Companies Law (22 of 1997) as amended.

Fourth / Approval of the following:

– Issuing instructions to facilitate the implementation of the provisions of the Law to perpetuate the sacrifices of the martyrs of the war against ISIS terrorist gangs, to expedite the completion of their transactions, and to take care of the wounded, based on the provisions of Article (9) of the Law of Immortalizing the Martyrs of the War Against ISIS Terrorist Gangs, and to speed up the completion of their transactions and take care of the wounded No. 81 of 2017 ).
