Advisor To The Prime Minister: There Is No Supplementary Budget This Year

He believed that “Iraq, in light of the security and economic conditions in which it lives, needs to encourage local and foreign investment, but it needs an appropriate environment and a high degree of general stability.”

He added, “The capital does not venture into investing in insecure areas. Therefore, the government’s first duty is to provide an environment conducive to investment, create a state of stability, and make the priorities that society needs at the forefront of concerns in the field of investment.”

Al-Shaddd pointed out that “the issue of energy appears within these priorities. There is a real and urgent need for serious work to increase oil production, build refineries and operate what is available from them with a suitable capacity, as well as encourage petrochemical industries, as well as the gas available in large quantities in Iraq, whether associated with oil extraction or in The fields of gas, especially since the country possesses large stocks of crude oil and gas, as well as the possibility of increasing their production at great rates.   LINK
