A government source said on Tuesday that corruption has extended to all Iraqi ministries, which are under investigation by Commission of Integrity.
The source underlined that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi’s decision to refer a number of former ministers and senior government officials to the commission is the first step towards fighting corruption.
In addition, the source pointed out that Abadi’s decision included former ministers and senior officials who are believed to be involved in corruption linked to the Ministry of Education.
Earlier on Tuesday, Abadi has referred a number of former ministers and top officials to the Integrity Commission over corruption allegations.
