The leader of the Dawa Party, Jassem Mohammad Jaafar, said Wednesday that the US threat to impose the current prime minister, Haidar al-Abadi, as head of the next government with “force” will complicate its position. Jaafar said in a press statement today that “if true in the newspaper Al-Sharq al-Awsat, Saudi Arabia on the imposition of American slaves to force the presidency of the next government, they are considered a transgression on a large sovereign state such as Iraq,” asserting that “the political forces can not accept it.”
Jaafar added that “America can not dare to impose its will on the political blocs to choose a particular figure for prime minister,” adding that “this information in the case was true, despite my exclusion, it will complicate the American situation itself.” The newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat” Saudi Arabia revealed on Wednesday, the pressures and threats of the US against the Iraqi parties by the United States on the current Prime Minister Haider Abadi, a single candidate for the presidency of the next government, noting that Washington threatened to make some forces and people under sanctions.
