Urgent: The Quartet fails to agree on a candidate for prime minister, and Iraq will enter again with a constitutional vacuum.

An informed political source revealed, on Monday, the failure of the Shi’ite tribal committee to agree on the name of the next prime minister candidate, while the source pointed to the agreement of the seven to resolve the file after March 24 this year. The source told “Al-Ikhbaria” that “the Seven Committee of the Shiite forces objected to the nomination of Naeem Al-Suhail, while the head of the Hadi al-Amiri Alliance re-submitted the name of Ali al-Shukri to the prime minister.” He added that “the blocs agreed to postpone the selection of the government candidate until March 24 to give it more time to consult with the Sunni and Kurdish political forces.” Source
