Sadr meets with Iraqi armed factions in Iran to discuss the American presence
The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, met a number of armed factions in the Iranian city of Qom to discuss dealing with the issue of the American forces present in Iraq.
The source said to “Al-Ikhbaria”, that “Al-Sadr met with leaders of the Iraqi factions in the Iranian city of Qom to discuss many issues after his election as president of the resistance.”
He explained that “Al-Sadr and the factions are discussing important issues related to the presence of American forces in Iraq and how to deal with them.”
It is noteworthy that the Qom meetings resulted in the selection of Hadi al-Amiri as head of the Popular Mobilization and Muqtada al-Sadr as head of the resistance. Source
