Fahdawi announces the injury of ISIS leader al-Baghdadi in aerial strike in western Anbar
The president of the tribal council of Anbar, Rafa al-Fahdawi, announced on Monday the injury of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi during an air strike that targeted him yesterday,
Fahdawi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com :”the air strike, which targeted the convoy of the terrorist Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi while he was heading to Karabla to attend a meeting with ISIS commanders, led to his injury,” pointing out that, “This came after the confirmation of our sources in that region.”
Fahdawi added: “The air strike also targeted the meeting of the leaders of the organization in Fallujah, Ramadi and other parts of Anbar,” noting that, “this led to the killing and wounding of dozens of senior leaders.”
On Sunday, Media War Cell announced that the air force bombed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s convey, while he was on his way to attend the meeting of ISIS commanders in Anbar, noting that the bombing also targeted the meeting’s headquarters, resulting in the death and injury of many leaders.
