Under the auspices of the US .. Kurdish MPs meet with security leaders to redeploy the Peshmerga in Kirkuk
MP from the province of Kirkuk, Mohammed Osman, on Saturday, a high-level security meeting between security leaders and deputies from the province in Baghdad to discuss the redeployment of Peshmerga forces, pointing out that the meeting discussed the arrangement of joint administration of the security file in the province.
Osman said in an interview with local media and the agency [media treasures], “a delegation of Kurdish deputies headed by Shawan al-Daoudi met on Friday in Baghdad with security leaders to discuss the redeployment of Peshmerga forces in Kirkuk in the coming days.”
He added that “the meeting discussed the arrangement of the security situation in Kirkuk and find a way to manage the security file in a joint way to end armed conflicts and terrorism in the civilian,” asserting that “the US side supports those talks and the redeployment of Peshmerga forces in the province of Kirkuk.”
The Kurdish media have revealed a closed meeting between a number of Kurdish MPs in Kirkuk and Interior Minister Qassim al-Araji and deputy commander of joint operations Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah in Baghdad, to discuss the return of Peshmerga forces to Kirkuk. Source
