Washington announces the most prominent outcomes of the strategic dialogue with Baghdad
The US State Department announced today, Thursday, the most prominent outputs of the strategic dialogue between Baghdad and Washington, which began today.
The ministry confirmed its support for Iraq in the international financial institutions, declaring that the Iraqi government renewed its commitment to protect the American forces present on its soil.
The ministry also indicated that the dialogue with Iraq discussed politics, security and the economy, revealing the United States’ pursuit of bilateral security arrangements with Iraq, and the US State Department announced the Washington counterpart to assist Baghdad in implementing the reforms.
This was the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States of America was launched today via closed-circuit television and is scheduled to continue for two days, and the dialogue included discussions that include discussing the presence of American forces in Iraq and the economic situation of Iraq, as well as other investment, agricultural and technological aspects.
The Iraqi delegation included 21 people headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and includes in its membership representatives of all sectors that will be included in the strategic dialogue. Source
