A deputy for Sadr’s bloc, backed by Muqtada al-Sadr, leader Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed on Friday the intention of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa al-Kazemi to present a ministerial lineup to parliament that does not contain candidates to fill the sovereign bags.
“Al-Kazemi will present the ministerial cabinet to the House of Representatives before the end of the constitutional period,” MP Abbas Alaiwi told Shafaq News.
He added that the ministerial formation will be free of candidates to occupy the sovereign bags, as its decision will be postponed for another notice, without indicating the reason.
Aliwi pointed out that “political negotiations are still going on between Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi and the political forces towards forming the next government.”
On April 9 this year, President of the Republic, Barham Salih, authorized Al-Kazimi to form the government within 30 days, less than an hour after the former Prime Minister-designate, Adnan al-Zarfi, announced his apology for this task.
The indications suggest that Al-Kazemi’s mission will be easy in light of the support he received from most of the Shi’ite, Sunni, and Kurdish political blocs. Source
