Determine the date for the session of “granting confidence” in the Al-Kazemi agreement – political forces
The deputy of the Al-Fateh Alliance Fadel Al-Fatlawi revealed, on Monday, an agreement between the Prime Minister in charge of forming the government, Mustafa Al-Kazemi and the political forces, to specify next Thursday a date for holding a session to give confidence to the government.
Al-Fatlawi said in a special statement to Shafaq News, that “there is a preliminary agreement between the Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi and the political forces to set a date for a session to give confidence to the new government,” noting that “the House of Representatives will hold its session next Thursday based on the agreement between Al-Kazemi and the political forces.” .
He added that “there is confirmation by some political blocs of passing the government in the special session scheduled for next Thursday.”
Al-Fatlawi added, “There are corruption suspicions in some of the names nominated in the ministerial cabinet, and Al-Kazemi was informed of this.”
A well-informed source reported that the special equipment inside the Chamber of Representatives has been completed to host the confidence-giving session of the government of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Al-Kazemi.
The constitutional deadline before Al-Kazemi ends on May 9th, amid the expansion of the circle of opponents to pass his government in the past few days, after he was initially supported by the vast majority of political blocs.
In the event that Al-Kazemi obtains confidence from the parliament, the new government will succeed the government of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, who resigned in early December 2019 under pressure from popular protests calling for the departure and accountability of the political class accused of corruption and waste of state funds.
