A new missile attack on Baghdad International Airport
The Security Media Cell announced, on Thursday, that Baghdad International Airport had come under a new missile attack.
The cell said, in a brief statement received by Shafaq News, that “a Katyusha missile landed on Baghdad International Airport, without losses, and it was found that it was launched from the Euphrates neighborhood.”
Usually, missile attacks target military bases and the vicinity of Baghdad airport, where the international coalition soldiers are present.
Baghdad International Airport includes two civilian and military parts, and American forces are present alongside Iraqi forces in the military part of the airport, which has been under repeated bombardment recently.
Washington accuses armed Iraqi factions linked to Iran of being behind the attacks targeting its embassy and military bases in which American soldiers are deployed in Iraq. Source
