Al-Maliki’s office reveals the details of a “private” visit to Iran
The media office of the head of the State of Law coalition, Nouri al-Maliki revealed, on Thursday, the details of the latter’s “special” visit to Iran.
The office said in a statement received by Shafaq News, “The head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, arrived this evening in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on a special visit that would take several days.”
He added, “It is hoped that al-Maliki will meet a number of Iranian officials, and he will also conduct routine medical examinations during the visit.”
An informed political source told Shafaq News earlier today, Sunday, that “the Secretary-General of the Islamic Dawa Party and the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, arrived in Iran on an unannounced visit in advance, and the reasons for which are unknown. Source
