Al-Kazemi is quick to support Al-Sadr’s proposal
On Friday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi expressed his support for a proposal made by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, to form a committee responsible for investigating the attacks that affect diplomatic missions and the headquarters of the Iraqi state.
“We support the proposals made by His Eminence, Muqtada Al-Sadr, to form a security, military and parliamentary committee to investigate violations targeting Iraq’s security, prestige, reputation and international obligations,” Al-Kazemi wrote in a tweet to him on the social networking site.
And he added, “We affirm that the hand of law is above the hand of those who violate it, no matter how some people think otherwise, and that the coalition of corruption and fugitive weapons has no place in Iraq.”
Earlier in the day, al-Sadr had formed a tripartite committee of a security, military, and parliamentary nature to investigate attacks targeting diplomatic missions, departments and institutions of the Iraqi state. Source
