Iraq announces a record number of outlet revenues within one day

The Border Ports Authority announced, on Thursday, that the revenues of the central port of Umm Qasr amounted to more than 5 billion dinars on Wednesday.

The commission said in a statement received by Shafaq News, that “the total revenues generated from customs and tax revenues at the port of Umm Qasr Middle Port in Basra Governorate and on October 7, 2020 amounted to (5,781,468,000) billion Iraqi dinars resulting from the trade exchange movement in the aforementioned port.”

The commission affirmed its “constant and relentless endeavor to maximize state revenues to overcome the financial crisis the country is going through, and to achieve high revenues consistent with government support and the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi in enhancing the security reality, imposing state prestige and providing a safe environment for workers at border crossings.” Source
