Soon.. Iraq will adopt a prepaid card at fuel filling stations

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced, on Saturday, the imminent adoption of the prepaid card “Visa Card” at filling stations in the country.

The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs opened today, Musa bin Nusair gas station in Baghdad after its rehabilitation.

The statement quoted the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs as saying that the ministry adopts modern electronic systems in all oil sectors, including the distribution sector, and upgrading the services provided therein, stressing that “these systems achieve a great flow of refueling, as well as reduce cases of waste and exploitation, if any.”

For his part, the Director General of the Oil Products Distribution Company, Hussein Talib Agency, said, according to the statement, that the company, through the technical and engineering departments and the company’s staff, has implemented (85%) of the rehabilitation plans and programs for government stations, pointing to the adoption of modern engineering designs and taking into account the aesthetic aspect. and urban areas, as well as installing fuel pumps from solid grain mills.
