Iraqi army, police track ISIS remnants in Mosul
Security source in Nineveh province revealed on Saturday that Iraqi army and police launched an operation to track remnants of ISIS terrorist organization in Mosul city.
The source pointed out that the joint force succeeded to destroy two tunnels and a hideout belongs to ISIS in al-Hadar desert South of Mosul, adding that 12 ISIS militants were arrested during the military operation.
Although Prime Minister Haider Abadi announced full liberation of Iraqi lands and the end of war against ISIS in December 2017, Iraqi cities are witnessing acts of violence as terrorist group’s sleeper cells continue to launch attacks targeting civilians and security forces. Source
