Tishwash: Iranian currency collapses against the dollar
Shafq News/ The Iranian currency saw a big collapse against the U.S. dollar by 27,000 tomans against the dollar.
The sources said that the price of the dollar against the Iranian Toman broke a new record, an increase of about 1,000 tomans compared to last July when it reached about 26 thousand Toman, up from 16,000 tomans last March.
The sources explained that the Central Bank of Iran injected 280 billion dollars of foreign exchange into the market to lower the dollar over the past 15 years, according to Central Bank Governor Abdel Nasser Hamati, but is unable to pump more currencies due to the 40 percent drop in oil exports. link
