RayRen: Good afternoon, TNT super-fantastic family! It’s Wednesday, December 6, 2017, with yours truly RayRen98 here. Let’s go over just a few things.
It’s one thing to have one canary singing, or two, but when there are more canaries singing, then we really feel blessed. We did an update early this morning:
PM Abadi on Iraqi TV stating the time has come to activate Article 140 and referenced things that need to take place for economic reforms to complete.
The Central Bank has announced a tender for the printing of new banknotes….particularly SMALL NOTES [Either this is a new batch of lower denoms or maybe they are making it seem as if this is the first time printing such notes? When will they be released?] Basically this about the lower denominations, getting them into circulation and/or accounting for those that have already been printed.
There are rates fluctuating in the system as we speak, plus another television report: the CBI Governor was talking about economic activity, and announcements on the 9th and 11th. This is Victory Week, with the big celebration on Saturday the 9th, starting at 11am Iraqi time. Abadi has referred to these celebrations, and said, “It is time to launch economic reforms” and said that Iraq is going to have an impact on the world. He said Iraq is also invoking Section 140 as part of the economic reforms.
Citizens are getting additional information letting them know when to expect a rate change on the consumer level. So we are looking forward to the big event this weekend about the liberation of Iraq, and a bit more than that, with hundreds of visitors, etc. It was suppose to be last weekend, but it now happening this week, with Saturday as the big event with announcements and so on. There might be a rate change even before this event kicks off, and also speculation about a rate change in the midst of this celebration, and also anticipation of the rate change immediately after Victory Week. We’ll be okay fi it happens before, during or after the victory celebrations, because we have definitive plans for first mouse, second mouse, and contract rates.
Questions from the TNT forum
Q: Have you had any follow-up of coins being used in the public or the distribution of the coins ? [RR: No.] Are the bank contacts still on alert? A: I am not sure what’s happening with the memo I mentioned on the last call, will try to find out.
Q: When the RV is released and the rate goes up, how will we know when it has peaked? [RR: We won’t; it will be a best guess. Here’s the key that makes this different from stocks: with stocks, if you miss the peak it may go below the starting price. This si a country’s currency, so it will not go down below the international rate. The market will push up the rate, so let’s say it starts at $100 and goes up to $200. We don’t know for sure what the highest rate will be, but when it starts to come down, it will not go below $100, so wherever it settles, we’ll be fine. Wouldn’t it have to start going back down for us to move on it? [RR: Not necessarily, just exchange when the day’s rate is one you like.] What if it fluctuates? Can you comment on possible strategies?? A: I already have: check the rate every day. If it comes out at $100, and goes to $125, and you like that, go and exchange. If you think it will go higher, to $150, or $175… wait and go to the bank when you feel the time and rate are what you like. At least it won’t go below the $100 (or whatever the international rate turns out to be.)
Q: There has been much talk around the dinar community about article 140 over the years, but could you review the highlights of this now that it will be implemented? A: It’s about the oil and gas agreement. The oil is in the Kurdish region, although Iraq feels it belongs to the country as a whole. So there is an agreement about how much the Kurds will get of the overall oil revenues. You can look up further info online.
Q: Is the Indonesian Rupiah still in the basket as far as you know and what is the latest rate that you have heard? A: Yes, and the latest rate I’ve heard is $1.25.
Q: Ray, you have said if you get 800 numbers, you will post them; where do these numbers come from? Are they from the bank or higher-up people? A: I don’t know where they are coming from until I receive them. If/when I get them, I will say where they’re from and you can go about your business.
Q: How often does www.coinmill.com update their rates? A: I am not sure; you can go on their site and find out.
Questions from live callers
865/404: When you got your information that you posted about PM Abadi talking about things that need to take place for economic reforms to take place, were there details?
RayRen: It was general, no details.
Caller: Are you likely to do a call on Friday at the standard time?
RayRen: If nothing changes, then we will have a call at 1pm EST, 10am PST. It looks like we might have the 10-day pay-it-forward period before Christmas!
610 caller: if you are financially able to donate, please send your checks and money orders to Ray Renfrow, PO Box 1748, Elm City, NC 27822. You can also find the address at www.tntsuperfantastic.com; click on the Donate button and send your check today.
870 caller: I’m getting excited and also a bit nervous; how secure will this be when we go to exchange? Should we take a big strong policeman with us?
RayRen: Who knows where you’re going? Or why you’re going? We’re going to walk out with very little cash but maybe a plastic card or two. There might be some security in the bank, but we don’t want or need a heavy security presence. Nobody will know about the location of the exchange centers apart from those who are actually exchanging, so it’s not like there are going to be thieves waiting in the parking lot.
718 caller: When is the meet-and-greet in Philadelphia?
RayRen: There isn’t one; there will be a banking seminar in Philly, though, with details on the forum when it is time for that.
919 caller: When is the Atlanta meet-and-greet? Is that this Friday?
RayRen: We’ve only been talking about that all week; do you have my email address? I will send you a text; send me an email back and I’ll send you the information.
945 caller: Do you think we’ll be through with this by Christmas?
RayRen: How long have you been listening to this call? I just said that we could have the ten-days-later PIF by Christmas. Let’s see if you need to ask that question by December 11th.
AL caller: We’ve been waiting for you to come closer, and we’re only two hours away from Atlanta; can you send or post the information about this Friday’s meeting?
RayRen: I’ll send you my email address and you email me and I’ll send the info.
503 caller: Did you ever speak to that guy who had the information for you?
RayRen: Yes, he shared some IQD exchange activity at a rate of $1.16, and once that is confirmed we will share that information if that place wants more people to come in. It was not in the US, nor in the Middle East. We’ll let you know if it checks out.
845 caller: What’s that about the Pay It Forward in ten days?
RayRen: Tony suggested years ago that ten days after the RV, we each go out and do something fantastic for someone else, anonymously, but with ‘Superfantastic’ as the signature, as a sign to each other across the nation. Let’s say you are in a restaurant and give the server a tip of $100, or $500, or even $1,000, with ‘superfantastic’ on the bill or napkin. That would only be meaningful to us, but it would let us know one of our members had taken part in the big Pay It Forward Day. That caller reminds us on every call, and I appreciate those who keep this wheel turning.
OR caller: Are you planning to have any meet-and-greets on the West Coast?
RayRen: We just had one in LA; what did you have in mind? We’ve been to Seattle before, and tried to do something in Idaho; we might do that again in the spring.
Caller: What have you heard about current rates for the VND?
RayRen: The most prevalent rate is 47 cents on the screens. It could be higher than that, but that’s been the most consistent rate that we’ve heard.
Next OR caller: One of your loyal followers in Washington has passed away; I relied on him for information and I cannot get into the forum. How do I keep up?
RayRen: You need to get on the twitter list. Send the following text to 40404: FOLLOW @THE_TNT_TEAM. You should get a reply within a few minutes.
931 caller: Which currencies do you believe are in the first basket?
RayRen: Iraqi dinar, Vietnamese dong, Indonesian rupiah, the Zim, Iranian rial, and possibly the Afghani.
347 caller: Any meet-and-greets in the Chicago area coming?
RayRen: Maybe in the first part of the New Year; we will have a banking seminar there immediately after the RV.
678 caller: Any change on the Zim information, especially the 80/20 split, since Mugabe has resigned?
RayRen: I haven’t heard anything official on any of that.
508 caller: Problems with receiving tweets.
RayRen: Sign up again.
Let’s wrap up this session. The weekend is where everyone is focused on. Victory Week starts tomorrow, and some anticipate announcements and/or action on Saturday. The information I’ve received privately and what’s been put out publically all seems to indicate that this should be an exciting weekend. We don’t know if we will be in the bank just yet, but there will be no doubt where we’re headed by Monday…
