Parliament approves the draft law suspending the presidency of the province
The Kurdistan Regional Parliament on Wednesday approved a draft law on the suspension of the functions of the Presidency of the Territory.
A parliamentary source told twilight News, Parliament voted by a majority of the audience during the meeting held today on a draft law on the suspension of the presidency of the region.
The source added that the provincial parliament refused to hold elections for the presidency of the region with in one with the parliamentary elections at the end of next September.
The two blocs of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Movement for Parliamentary Change have submitted a draft law on the suspension of the functions of the presidency of the region and continue to distribute their powers to the government, parliament and the judiciary until the date of writing the Constitution.
