The Central Bank announced, on Thursday, the re-work of a large number of exchange companies previously deprived of dealing in dollar currency located in the provinces (Ninwa, Anbar, Kirkuk, Salahuddin).
The Central Bank said in a statement received by “Economy News”, that “the Central Bank of Iraq announces the reinstatement of a large number of exchange companies previously deprived of dealing in the dollar currency located in the provinces of (Nineveh, Anbar, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din), which led security conditions and events after (ISIS) in those governorates to stop them from working.”
He added that “the re-work of these companies came after the tireless efforts made in cooperation with the security and auditing authorities, and that the above decision would enhance the arrival of the dollar currency to these provinces to meet legitimate demands, which in turn help stabilize the exchange rate.”
