The “Global Investor Day” conference kicked off on Sunday in the capital, Baghdad.A statement by the Securities Commission said that “in the framework of enhancing the investment climate and attracting national and international capital, and under the auspices of Prime Minister Mohammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, the activities of the “World Investor Day” conference in Iraq, which was organized by the Iraqi Securities Authority in the presence of a large number of government figures and the private sector,”He added that “the opening session of the conference included the speech of the authority’s president Faisal Al-Heems, where he stressed the authority’s commitment to providing a suitable environment for investment and protecting the rights of investors, and the event was characterized by presentations on the various investment sectors in the country and the opportunities available.”He added that “the conference will discuss investment and promising opportunities in Iraq and its strategic location, and the opportunities and challenges of investment and development in the securities sector.”He pointed out that “the events of the conference will continue on Monday, where participants will have the opportunity to interact and communicate with various companies and government agencies to discuss investment opportunities and sign strategic agreements and partnerships.”He explained that the “Global Investor Day” conference “constitutes an important opportunity for Iraq to strengthen its position as an important investment destination in the region and increase international cooperation in various fields.
